Lil Nas X has recently released the music video for his brand-new song ‘Montero (Call Me by Your Name) and it caused polarizing opinions all around the interweb. The song with its equally graphic lyrics surprisingly hasn’t gained nearly as much notoriety. The music video gathered everyone’s attention for obvious reasons; if you have seen the video you’ll understand why, but if you haven’t, let me get you in the loop.

The 3-minute cinematic visual features 3 remastered Biblical storylines. The first scene opens with Lil Nas sitting in the digitized Garden of Eden, playing his guitar and singing. Suddenly…

This story starts innocently a week ago, on a sunny April day, just outside of a small, Mediterranean town Kotor at a children’s birthday party. There was cake, dancing, singing and everyone was having a jolly good time. But then, disaster struck. An 8-year-old South African girl named Kiara, suddenly strayed away from the crowd and took a local dog (Charlotte) with her.

After her parents lost all hope of finding her, they called in for help from the professionals. …

The singing/songwriting sensation, Taylor Swift has made an announcement on Good Morning America on February 11th that she has re-recorded the complete ‘Fearless’ album with the addition of some “new” songs that almost made it to the old version of the album, making the new version contain 26 songs in total.

She announced on Twitter that ‘Fearless’ album will be released on the April 9th by capitalizing certain letters in her post.

Matching the controversy of his new hit single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name), Lil Nas X also released a pair of Satan-themed sneakers in collaboration with MSCHF. The all black shoes with red accents had a golden pentagram attached to its laces, the numbers 6/666 and Luke 10:18 written in red ink written on them (both holding satanic implications) and they reportedly contained a drop of human blood.

“I just don’t understand where political correctness is leading us.”, said one of my ex-colleagues during one of our classes at a college I briefly attended. “Why in the world would anyone have anything against treating others respectfully?”, I wondered to myself. As it turned out, I might have been the one who was wrong in that situation because political correctness isn’t as simple as it seems. There is much, much more to it, other than the basic faculty of being a polite and respectful individual.

What is Political Correctness?

“Political correctness, as School of life puts it, involves an…

The way we as society deal with pain is strange. We shun it away; we compress it so far down our guts that one begins to wonder if ever existed. And the way we speak of it, the monster we make it out be, you would think it belongs to a completely foreign deity. There are examples of positive outlooks on the “angry devil”, though. One that immediately comes to my mind is by “Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You”, which immaculately exemplifies the art of coping with pain.

“Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You” is…

As I was strolling through my local mall, I noticed a sweet little girl of African descent, standing upright in a red and blue plaid coat, white hat and a sparkly backpack in her hand, smirking on the poster in the Original Marines store, which initially did not faze me in any way. However, after taking another look I began wondering: “What is the purpose of using a black model in marketing products to predominantly white society?” I couldn’t quite grasp the logic behind their marketing approach. It somehow seemed superfluous, meaningless… only, it wasn’t. …

Australian pop star SIA shared a brief look into her upcoming movie “Music” on the 19th of November.
At first glance, the one-minute-long movie trailer, seems like nothing short of your typical bubbly musical; there are dancing children, tons of color and catchy tunes. It all seems very well executed, however, the part that many took issue with is the main character which is a non-verbal autistic young girl played by the actress Maddie Ziegler who is neurotypical.

The petition pleading to prevent SIA’s movie from being released went live just the day after trailer’s release on the 20th of…

The young and handsome 26-year-old singer Harry Styles appeared on Vogue’s December cover wearing a flowy white Gucci dress and blowing up a pastel blue balloon, which was nothing out of the ordinary for the eccentric artist, yet it caused quite a bit of controversy. Why is it that we are still bothered by men wearing dresses in the 21st century?

The concept of men wearing dresses has been around practically since people started wearing clothes. Think of the Ancient Greeks and Romans who were known for their long, woolen garments. Even infants wore dresses back in the 16th century…
